J.S. Ash has spent over a decade working in media at one of the largest tech companies in the world, though his true love remains storytelling. His creative DNA was forged in the 90s—a blend of blockbuster action cinema, console gaming, and the high-stakes melodrama of the era’s teen soaps. He lives with his wife and daughter, who serve as the primary inspiration for the resilient, protective heroines at the heart of his stories.
HoW WE GOT HERE
I love my job and I’ve been incredibly lucky in my career. But I’ve always harboured a deep passion for movies, TV, and storytelling.
In 2013, I started writing a screenplay.
In 2019, I turned it into a novel.
And for years after that, I chipped away at editing and crippling self-doubt, wrestling with whether I’d ever have the courage to actually put it out into the world…
Well here we are... ABDUCTED has been released 🚀 — published under the pen name J.S. Ash (J = me, S = my wife, Ash = our 8-year-old daughter)
It's a YA sci-fi action thriller — Think: The Hunger Games x Die Hard on an alien spaceship + a healthy dose of teenage angst.
